About Southern-Minds

Southern-Minds is a dynamic company catering to variety of software solutions and services designed to reduce complexity and cost of ownership. The company was founded in 2003 by a TSM Administrator, Storage Analyst and Software Developer. We are headquartered in Toronto, Canada and is currently a Microsoft and IBM independent Software Vendor (ISV).

Many companies are faced with enormous data growth. Data is created and remains dormant for many months and even years. In most cases data is also duplicated throughout the organization. The result is skyrocketing storage costs.

It is a fact that over 5 exabytes of the entire world's data is created digitally and this number is growing. The cost for disk on the other hand is falling. This tends to detract from the need for better data management. After all if disk is cheaper then more can be stored at a lower cost. Right? Fortunately this is not Southern-Minds view point. We think that no matter what the price of disk is there would always be substantial savings from better data management. Not only would companies reduce their disk usage it would make their backups, recoveries, and migrations more efficient.
